Starting from 2026, the Labour Force Survey (LFS) questionnaire and methodology were revised to ensure their alignment with the European Union standards in this field (EU Regulations 2019/1700 and 2019/2240) and to enhance the comparability of survey results at the European level:
- Additional questions were introduced into the LFS questionnaire, and several existing questions were further detailed;
- The definitions of LFS indicators were aligned with the practices and methodological standards applied in EU countries.
These changes have contributed to a more accurate identification of individuals' labour market status. At the same time, they have had a significant impact on the indicators, which, starting from 2026, are not fully comparable with the corresponding data from previous years.
